Anna & Aran's stunning Essex wedding at the historic Boreham House
I was honoured to be asked to be Anna and Aran's Boreham House Wedding Photographer. The historic setting made the perfect location for an emotional and colourful wedding. Anna and Aran were supported by their lovely large families family and their friends and said "I will" on a hot summer's day in August.
Anna wore a stunning full bodied white gown from Pronovias with shoes by Steve Madden and the bridesmaids were in dark bottle green gowns. The groom and groomsmen wore black suits. Florals were by Isle of Flowers, hair by Rich Hair and makeup was from Simone Gillmore. The cake was made by chef Daniel Garcia, Decor by Royal Affairs, catering by Sapna Caterers, entertainment by Calibar Events, DJ Swerve and Michael Raggatt.
Boreham House - Essex Wedding Venue
Boreham House is an exclusive Wedding Venue in Chelmsford, Essex. The house has a rich history and is a Grade I listed mansion with a stately avenue of trees, between which there is a stunning formal mirrored lake. Once inside the house you are surrounded by the history of the place. Original features have been retained which include the stunning high ceilings with decorative handcrafted plasterwork, original fireplaces, solid oak panelling and exquisite detailing throughout.
Boreham House was originally built around 1730 for Benjamin Hoare, the son of Richard Hoare, the wealthy fleet street banker.
The house includes the staircase bought from New Hall, which was owned by Henry VIII from 1517 to 1547. In 1812, Thomas Hooper, another well-known architect in his time, added the grand carriage entrances to the left and right of the building. The hall has gone through a series of additions over the years and sits in acres of gardens.
